Surfnet received more than $23 million in grant funding to deliver high-speed, fiber internet to our customers. Surfnet is leveraging our direct experience with local mountain communities and rural areas to deliver fiber connections to thousands of customers.

Santa Cruz Mountains Fiber Build Updates

Construction has begun on fiber connections in the Santa Cruz Mountains, with the first fiber connections expected in early 2025. Here’s a map and a list of all the roads where Surfnet fiber is being installed in the current phase:
